A legend retires

After 21 years of service Dr Gordon Gray has retired…again!  After finishing his 10 year stint as Clinical Dean in 2012 and contemplating retirement, Gordon was persuaded to stay on and continued to teach students in the Clinical Skills Lab for the last 4 years.  The students also said farewell last Wednesday and gave him a wonderful gift that he will treasure.  Year 4 students were then lucky enough to attend his very final session in the CSL on the afternoon of Friday 18th March.  A hugely popular member of staff “Big G”, as he was affectionately known to students, will now divide his time between volunteering for St Peter’s Hospice here in Bristol, and his holiday home in sunny Spain.  We certainly hope he’ll be popping in from time to time though to see us.

Gordon’s retirement buffet was brilliantly attended by staff both past and present, with everybody keen to wish him well.

Everybody wishes Gordon a very long and happy retirement, and thanks for the memories (this one in particular)!
